English - Wednesday 24th February
Oracy
Today we're looking at the benefits of woodland and the dangers that face them, and the habitats they contain. Your task today is to plan out your ideas to submit a verbal response to the question;
What do forests mean to you?
Plan your response before you record it, so you know what you're going to speak about and you speak clearly.
Maths (Extend) - Wednesday 24th February
Watch the support videos above. Watch them both before attempting the worksheet on subtracting fractions from whole numbers.
Science
On Monday you were asked to go on a bug hunt as part of your physical challenge. Think about the bugs you saw or think about another mini beast or animal that you like. In the next few weeks as part of your writing journey and topic link you will be writing a non-chronological report about an animal / mini beast of your choice. Use this science time to research your animal/mini beast to help with writing your non-chronological report.
When researching think about these key points and write your research underneath.
REMEMBER write your findings in your OWN WORDS
Plus any other interesting facts you can find out about them.
You can either copy and paste the bullet points and write underneath them, or make notes on paper of information that you can include.

Forest Bathing
This Japanese practice is a process of relaxation; known in Japan as shinrin yoku. The simple method of being calm and quiet amongst the trees, observing nature around you whilst breathing deeply can help both adults and children de-stress and boost health and wellbeing in a natural way. Follow the tips and don't forget to let us know how you get along!
