Autumn 2 - Pop Up
We hope you all had a lovely chilled week off school. Your children have returned excited and eager to learn.
This half term is an exciting one as it is the lead up to Christmas.
We will be started this half term off looking at the story of the 3 little pigs and making our own story maps which will lead us to eventually writing our own version of the story.
Once we have explored the 3 little pigs we will be moving onto the traditional tale 'Cinderella'. This is going to be super exciting as we are going to working towards a 'Christmas Ball'. We will be writing invitation, instructions and measuring shoes. This is going to be a very fun, exciting and sparkly few few weeks inline with all of our Christmas crafts.
We will still be going up the woods every Wednesday fro 'Welly Wednesday' so please make sure you send your child to school with wellies and sensible waterproof clothing. We will be going up whatever the weather!
We have had a fantastic first few weeks back in school. The children in Elmer class have adapted so well to our new rules and routines. We are so proud of everyone coming back to school so grown up and sensible.
Our topic this half term is 'Family Album'. This is where we learn all about our families, how things have changed over the years and also lots of outdoor learning.
We have already spent lots of time outdoors and up the woods looking at leaves and bugs.
In literacy we are learning all about the story 'Not Now Bernard!'. We will be working towards writing our own story at the end of the half term.
See below some photos of our fantastic learning so far this half term.
