Writing a non-Chronological report.
On Monday 22nd of February your first activity in our writing journey was to use the WAGOLL to create a success criteria.
Think about the success criteria you created from the WAGOLL and the journey of writing so far.
Using the success criteria supplied write a non-chronological report of your own about your animal.
In this activity we would like you to try and create your non-chronological report using word, publisher or HWB and email us a copy of your work.
YOU WILL NEED THIS DRAFT FOR FRIDAY’S ACTIVITY
Compare measurements using more than and less than symbols.
Working with kilometers (km) and meters (m) and converting between the two.
Build a Den!
In February, the woodlands are full of fallen branches and dead wood after a long winter of harsh winds and heavy rainfall. Plenty of materials for building your very own DEN!
Get out into the woods this week and build your own hideout! Think about shapes before you start to build and use your understanding of science to make sure the den can hold itself up, or use a tree to act as a central pole for your tepee.
Triangles are usually the strongest shapes, rather than rectangles or squares. Ask an adult to come with you so you can lift some of the heavier logs, and think about how you’ll hold your den together. Maybe take some string with you!?
You could also use rocks to support the sides of your den to act as a kind of foundation!
Take pictures of your den under construction and then you inside!
Ruan and I will try and make one too in the woodlands behind our house!
