Together we can make a difference

Spelling education is provided in numerous means throughout the school week. Each morning, pupils revise a list of up to 10 spelling words using the traditional 'Look/Cover/Write/Check' structure. Further to this, active spelling tasks are completed on year 4 and 5 high frequency words for 5-10 minutes, before an informal test on a Friday.

Within Literacy sessions, we complete a spelling session once a week, looking at the spelling rule we have been working on through the 'Look/Cover/Write/Check' concept. We play games, and get a chance to demonstrate our spellings we have learned that week.

Spelling lists including the specific rule each week are uploaded below, they can be practised on J2Blast and SeeSaw.
