Sound Recap: s a t p i n – These are 6 of the sounds we have learnt. Can you say each sound?
Watch my video below and then play sound splat.
Watch the story ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ below. Talk about what happens in the story. Think about the beginning, middle and end. I will be asking more questions for you to answer in tomorrows lesson.
This week I would also like you to keep a food diary of what you eat for your tea (Dinner). Think about what foods you have on your plate, what drink do you have? Do you have a dessert? Take a photo of your meal or ask a grown up to help you write it down or record you saying what you have eaten and send them to me each day or keep a record for the whole week and send them to me at the end of the week. You will need this for an activity we are doing next week.
Finger Print Caterpillar Counting
Make finger print caterpillars by printing the correct number of finger prints to match the number. See example below. If your child is confident up to 5, try up to 10.
Topic
Our topic over the next few weeks is called ‘Teeny Tiny Things’. We are starting out topic by looking at different minibeasts(insects). Can you go on a minibeast hunt in the garden or on your daily exercise and see what minibeasts you can find? Or watch the video and see what minibeasts you can name. Make a list.
