At the Fern Federation, we recognise that teaching and learning can take place in many formats and, with the ever changing world we live in, technology can harness many benefits when enhancing this process. With Pupils growing up in an ever growing digital world, and with people connected in many new and innovative ways, our schools also believe that we can harness new technologies in order to provide further teaching and learning experiences.
A key part of this development is the use of live streaming and video conferencing, in providing another branch to the schools work. Our approach has been formed in conjunction with the Welsh Government guidance published September 2020 ‘Live steaming and Video Conferencing: Safeguarding principles and practise’
After feedback from your parent questionnaires, you have indicated that you feel that live 'check in' and wellbeing sessions would benefit your children at home. We have therefore decided to start live sessions once a week using Google Meet which can be accessed trough HWB and the Google for Education section on HWB. Further information about the time and day of your child's live session will be sent toy you Via text and/or your child's class teacher.
