Every Friday we send out our homework folders. These contain a number of items to help your child consolidate, rehearse and enhance the skills they have gained in school that week.
We kindly ask that the folders are returned to school by Wednesday (at the latest), so we can prepare the folder again for Friday. We appreciate that sometimes there are weeks when things are busy and not enough time outside of school to complete the tasks, or a folder may get misplaced. Please do not worry if this is the case...if you get in touch with Miss Lewis, we can arrange a replacement.
Your homework folder will contain:
Your child's reading book is based upon their reading and comprehension level. It's important that your child is able to read the book, but also understand and explain what is going on in the story.
Please use the green reading record to note down reading sessions with your child.
Your child can use their Hwb password to access a fantastic game called "Spellblast" - on here they will be able to beat their own score to improve their spellings.
Maths Mad Minutes/Times Tables (Red Folder):
These are sheets to help your child with their mental recall of number facts. Your child can either use these to fill in, or try to "beat" their time with an adult.
We will occasionally send home flashcards with high frequency words/sounds for your child to practice at home. They will need to be able to read these words at sight quickly.
Occasionally there will be tasks online using Google Classroom/Seesaw - we will notify you via Class Dojo if this is the case.
Any questions or queries, please see Miss Lewis.
